THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER AND THE SEED (Matthew 13:1-23)

The sower threw the seeds. Some fell on the PATHWAY and birds came and ate them. Some fell on the ROCK but because there was no root, they withered and died off.
Some seeds fell on the THORNS but were choked and died.
Some fell on GOOD SOIL and produced some hundred, sixty and thirty.

At one time or the other in life,  we fall into these different categories of seeds.

The seeds on the pathway explains the time we hear the word of God or have an encounter with the Divine, that we were so overwhelmed as to become new about something. Of course, the Enemy does not want growth for God's children. The devil comes in and steals away the attraction and power of that experience before we act on it. The Divine encounter is lost.

The seeds that fell on the rocks explains the time we are moved by God's word and begin to act on it but the temptations and difficulties of life sweeps us of that balance and we loose the word and courage.

The seeds that fell on Thorns explains the times when we begin to act on our encounter with God but the pleasures and cares of life Rob us off of it at the end.

The seeds that fell on good soil are the times when we hear the word, encounter it and grow with it, bearing happiness and fullness of life.

Let us become aware of each movement as we hear the words of Christ daily and also be aware of the direction the enemy wants to take us.
In Christ, we will be led to the right direction and bear fruits. Our lives now become life to others and it keeps spreading and the fruits growing.
Lord please hear us and help us amidst life's challenges and struggles.
