Drop that Stone
At times, we carry grievance or hurt in us about someone or something that it insidiously drags us down emotionally or otherwise.
We forget that God has forgiven us much more than we can comprehend.
A look at MATTHEW 18:21-19:1.
The Lord forgave the servant owing him huge sum of money; but the servant who was forgiven in a split moment forgot what just took place in his life.
In that parable, Jesus emphasized on forgiveness as having no measurement or limit. Some versions of the Bible puts it as Seventy-seven. Some put it as Seventy times seven. Whatever it is, the Lord wants us to forgive as much as we can. He forgives us as many times, even before we ask; we must do the same.
Truth be told that it is not an easy thing, but we got to start somewhere.
Whatever we have experienced from someone that is really hurting deeply, let us run to the throne of grace to seek his power to let go. Remember, no one is completely perfect as not to hurt another. As long as human beings keep life together, we must experience our differences. So when we carry hurt, let us think deeply that we may have hurt someone somewhere oblivious of it.
It is not by human effort or power, forgiveness is a Divine experience and so we need God's grace to go about it.
Remember, the more we carry grudges or hate or disappointments, we keep carrying a heavy stone on our palms. That Stone will continue to hurt and go heavier if we do not drop it.
DROP THAT STONE AND LET IT GO.
